The Pelvic Fertility Monitoring Scan is a specialized gynaecological ultrasound, designed for individuals undergoing fertility treatment, whether in the UK or abroad. This scan provides a comprehensive assessment of the uterus, endometrium (lining of the womb), and ovaries.
It includes detailed measurements of all follicles on the ovaries to evaluate their size, development, and response to any fertility medications. Your Pelvic Fertility Monitoring Scan
The Pelvic Fertility Monitoring Scan is specifically designed for people currently undergoing fertility treatment. This scan will give the necessary information and assessment of your pelvic anatomy that your fertility clinic will require.
It is a transvaginal (internal) scan performed by one of our qualified sonographers with diagnostic scanning experience.
*The report you receive after your scan will include follicle measurements that, together with further information dependent on your individual circumstances, your fertility provider can use.
This Pelvic Scan, available to those over 18 years old, is performed by one of our qualified sonographers with diagnostic scanning experience. includes:
- 30-minute diagnostic appointment
- internal scan (transvaginal)
- same day results
- full written report
The scan is performed transvaginally for optimum clarity and results. This means that the sonographer will ask for your consent to insert an ultrasound probe into your vagina.
Preparing for your scan
- drink 500ml (1 pint) of clear fluid about 1 hour before your Fertility Pelvic Scan
- don’t urinate before your appointment. This is so we can get the best possible images from your ultrasound scan
- we’ll need access to your abdomen, so please wear a two-piece outfit (like a top and trousers, or a top and a skirt)
