The NIPT process is as easy as a standard blood test, performed by a skilled and qualified phlebotomist.
Your appointment also includes a reassuring ultrasound scan, conducted by an experienced and certified sonographer for added confidence and peace of mind.
What Does the NIPT Screen For?
This test screens for three key chromosomal pairs:
- Chromosome 21 (associated with Down’s Syndrome)
- Chromosome 18 (associated with Edwards’ Syndrome)
- Chromosome 13 (associated with Patau’s Syndrome)
- Sex chromosomes (optional)
Who Can Take the Test?
The NIPT is suitable for:
- Singleton pregnancies
- Monochorionic twin pregnancies

Please note: results usually take 7 working days upon receipt at the laboratory.
